Obituary of Mervel Edward Booth

Booth: Mervel E., formerly of R.R. #3 Dresden, passed away peacefully at Fairfield Park, Wallaceburg on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the age of 97. Born in Sombra Twp., son of the late Willard and Mildred (Murphy) Booth. Merv served during WW II in the Army Service Corp. Beloved husband of the late Mary Eleanor (Deighton) Booth (1998). father of Marjorie Quigley (Bill), Marilyn Hobbs (Jim) all of London and John Booth of Chatham. Proud and loving grandpa "pop" to Jason Quigley, Jeremy Hobbs and Lindsay Hobbs (Rob Muir). Dear brother of Darlene Wood (Ross), Fred Booth (Irene) and Jimmie Booth (Carol). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Pearl Keck, Margaret Paul, Stella Gurney, Eleanor McFadden, Della MacMillan, Bertha Dennis, Ethel Reed and brothers Ernie, Les, Joe and Arthur Booth and special friend Mary Jordan. The Booth family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St., Dresden on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment in Dresden Cemetery.
