Obituary of Murray Lee Wilcox

Wilcox; Murray Lee a resident of Chatham, Murray Wilcox, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the age of 95. Born in Chatham Township, son of the late George & Ethel (Shaw) Wilcox. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Wilcox. Cherished father to Ann Wilcox, Judy & Jim Kovacs, Joan Miller, Mary & Randy McEllistrum, William Wilcox, and Jane & Greg Rehman. Forever missed by his 11 grandchildren, Karen, Liane, Carolyn, Rick, Kathy, Kelly, Nathan, Ryan, Amanda, Matt, Kelsey and by 14 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sisters June Proctor, Grace Foerester, and sister-in-laws Ruth Wilcox, and Irene Lanigan. Predeceased by siblings Grant Wilcox, Rheta Clark, Leota Ross, Vida Cooper, and Raymond Wilcox. The Wilcox family will receive friends and family at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria Street, Thamesville on Sunday from 1:00 -3:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 145 Victoria Ave., Chatham on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Jim Higgins as celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery.
