Obituary of Julia Pietens

Pietens: Julia formerly of Dresden passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Sydenham Retirement Residence, Wallaceburg at the age of 88. Born in Bergum, Holland, daughter of the late Jurjem and Anna (Devries) Dykstra. She was a member of Trinity Christian Centre, Dresden. Beloved wife of the late Martin Pietens (2001). Loving mom of Helen & Arnold Vander Heide, Margareth Pietens & Dave Bryant, Hank & Alisa Pietens, Allen & Cathie Pietens and Dale & Diana Pietens. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Melanie Vander Heide, Matthew & Christine Vander Heide, Justin Pietens and great grandchildren Liam and Sammy. Dear sister-in-law of Lenie Dykstra, Grace Pietens and Arthur Saeteraas. Predeceased by brothers Henry and Louis Dykstra. The Pietens family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St., Dresden on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment in Dresden Cemetery.
