Obituary of Gordon L. Hopkins Sr.
Hopkins: Gordon L. Sr. a resident of Moraviantown passed away peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2018 at his home at the age of 69. Born in Chatham, son of the late Elmer and Phyllis (Noah) Hopkins. Loving husband of Patricia (Jacobs) Hopkins. Loving father of Gord Hopkins Jr. (DeAnna), Mary Hopkins, Nancy Greenbird (Duane), Shelley Hopkins (Lenny) and Peter Hopkins. Proud grandpa of Nathan Hopkins, Chelsie Shipman (Tyson), Brittany Hopkins (Tim), Jenna Hopkins, Kendra Hopkins (Travis), Devin Greenbird, Cynthia Hopkins (Tyler), Gene Hopkins (Shawnee), Kerlyssa Greenbird, Tayleen Hopkins-Kiyoshk, Tanisha Hopkins-Kiyoshk, Tyawna Hopkins-Kiyoshk, Brett Hopkins-Henry, Joseph Hopkins, Kiera Hopkins-Julian. Cherished great grandpa of Seslynn Smith, Gaige Hopkins, Syllus Hopkins, Kenneth Noah, Madelynn Hopkins and Daewyn Shipman. Dear brother of Ken Hopkins, Leo Hopkins, Charlie Hopkins, Danny Hopkins, Keith Hopkins, Lana Parenteau, Janet Hopkins and Lorne Hopkins. Sadly missed by his Aunt Pauline Gillian, mother-in-law Faye Jacobs, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. The Hopkins family will receive friends at their home, 14668 River Line, Thamesville on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the Delaware Community Centre from 5-8 p.m. with a ceremony from 8-11 p.m. The Traditional Service will be held from the Moraviantown Community Centre on Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in Moraviantown Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the John C. Badder Funeral Home, Thamesville.
