Obituary of Kathleen Doris Bergey
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen, affectionately known as Teen, of Clachan, Ontario. She passed suddenly on Friday March 23rd, just days after celebrating her 80th birthday. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Deeply loved and missed by husband Bob of 62 years, children Kellie (Mike), Todd (Renee), Brad (Trish), Derek (Hal), Terri (Rob), grandchildren Katie, Shannen, Michael, Codie (Brittany and baby Colton), Jessie, Kassie, Karmyn, Quinn, Chase, Travis, Nathan, and Britney. Sisters Helen (Wally) Joan, Liz (Carl) and Mary Lee (Bob) and Brothers Jack (Carol), and Junior (Cathy). She was preceded in death by parents Marvin, and Olive, sister Donna, brothers Ted, and Ken, and daughter Marlene.
Kathleen loved the farm and having everyone visit, but never liked being the centre of attention. She ruled her home with love and respect. Teen made friends not enemies. She had a love for any sport, with a particular attachment to hockey. As avid hockey fans, Bob and Teen could be found traveling the countryside, driving between arenas to watch their grandchildren play in different towns and cities each weeknight and weekend. She was a familiar face at the Bothwell post office where she worked for 25 years, greeting everyone with her captivating smile.
Now as she looks down on us, we feel her love, her strength, her resilience in every moment.
Today our hearts are broken with the loss of our great leader. Tomorrow we will heal with the lifetime of memories she helped to create.
May you rest well, feel peace forever and know that we love you and miss you every day.
