Obituary of Barry "Bart" Allen Osborne
Osborne: Barry "Bart" a resident of Shetland, passed away peacefully at the London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Campus on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the age of 70. Born in Chatham, son of the late Gordon and Beatrice (Smith) Osborne. Barry was happily retired from Imperial Oil where he was a Lab Technician and loved nothing more than being with his large extended family and friends. Barry was very proud of his children and grandchildren, played "Bart Hockey" every Sunday morning and loved organizing and hosting the annual Shetland Fishing Derby. Beloved husband and best friend of Patricia Osborne (Elliott). Loving father of Jillian Klein-Geltink (Greg), Marty Osborne (Lindsay), Alyson Osborne (Robin). Loving grandpa of Juliet and Sidney. Sadly missed by mother-in-law Maxine Elliott (Late Tom). Dear brother and brother-in-law of Elaine Vlcek (Late Joseph), Fran Farrell (John), Wayne Osborne (Gayle), Louise Webster, Robert Osborne (Catherine), Lois Webster (Wally), Ann Myers, Sue Anne Denomy (Ron), Alex Elliott (Pat), Mary Elliott (Dean), Ruth Hook (Stephen), Christine Elliott (Greg). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. The Osborne family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Sunday from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Cremation will take place. If desired donations (by cheque) to the Shetland Cemetery ,the London Health Sciences Foundation or the Dresden Minor Hockey Association would be appreciated.
