Vanderveen: Harry a resident of RR #2 Thamesville passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham at the age of 81. He was born in Holland son of the late Salomons and Jantje (Kornelius) Vanderveen. Beloved husband of the late Adriana “Jean” (Koster) Vanderveen. Loving father of Stuart & Janice Vanderveen of R.R. #2 Thamesville, Jim & Renskje Vanderveen of Blenheim, Gary Vanderveen (Brenda-Lee) of Oil Springs, Judy & Bert Vanderheide of Thamesville, Terry & Jennifer Vanderveen of R.R#2 Thamesville. Cherished grandfather of Ken, Al, Jenna, Ivan (Nicole), Amanda, Eric, Denise, Roy, Sabina, Ava, Radley, Janea, Judine, Johyna and Brett. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Herman & Barb Vanderveen of Thamesville, Gerard & Cecile Vanderveen of Chatham, Adrian & Ietie Koster of Kent Bridge, John & Dirkje Koster of Grimsby and Fina & Wayne Bergsma of Manitoba. Predeceased by sister Grace Vanderveen and brother John Vanderveen and sisters-in-law Diane and Audrey Vanderveen. The Vanderveen family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home 72 Victoria Street, Thamesville on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Eben-Ezer Canadian Reformed Church, 483 McNaughton Ave. E., Chatham, on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2:00pm. Interment in Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society.
