Obituary of Doris Ilene Houston

Houston: Doris a resident of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the age of 93. Born in Dawn Township, daughter of the late Mathias & Mary Vansickle. Beloved wife of the late J.C Houston (2009). Loving mother to Linda & Rick Brooks, Dale & Debbie Houston, Dan & Marlene Houston, and Carol & Roland Craig. Grandmother to Jodi & Peter Cheung, Brian & Elisa Houston, Jenny & Brandon Bechard, Jeff Houston, Brady Houston, Tyler Houston, Alexis Houston, Heather & Winston Lohnes, Andy & Cheryl Craig, Julie & Gwynn Curran-Sills, Cathie & Tom Guardanapo. Forever missed by her 15 great-grandchildren. Doris was the last surviving sibling of the Vansickle family of 9. Survived by her sister-in-law Helen Houston. Family to receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria Street, Thamesville on Friday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mayhew-Mt.
