Lambrecht: Maria (Matthys), passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the age of 85. Born in Belgium, daughter of the late Hector and Alice (Christiaen) Matthys. Maria was a member of the former St. Ignatius Church, Bothwell and came to Canada with her husband Gerard in 1955. Beloved wife of the late Gerard Lambrecht (1996). Loving mother of Wayne and Mary Jane Lambrecht of Bothwell, Dorine and Martin Dekoning of Watford, Rita and Lyle Rycroft of Shedden, Randy and Michelle Lambrecht of Bothwell. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Megan Brewer (Bobby), Evan, Justine Cook (Kyle), Alex, Luke, Rene, Grant, Wesley (Kayla), Ingrid, Alise, Owen, William, Kate, Samantha and great-granddaughter Campbell. Dear sister of Julien Matthys (Denise), George Matthys, Denise Bilcke, and Yolande VanParjys (Andre). Predeceased by her sisters Germaine, Armadine, and brothers Omer, Maurice, Firmin, Remi, and Albert. The Lambrecht family will receive friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St. Bothwell on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM. (Prayers will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 3:45 PM.) The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Garnier Parish, 244 Stella Ave., Glencoe on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Interment in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Bothwell. If desired donations to the Four Counties Health Services Foundation or Friends of the Bothwell Catholic Cemetery (St. Ignatius) would be appreciated.
