Obituary of Kevin Dale Smith

Smith: Kevin Dale a resident of Hong Kong and formerly of Croton passed away suddenly on March 25, 2017 at the age of 61. Born in Chatham, son of the late Lorne and Dorothy (Archer) Smith, Kevin began his life long flying career at the age of 15. He started as a glider pilot in Rutherford, progressing to engine aircraft and instructing in Petrolia and Chatham. He then was a Pilot with Air Canada and Cathay Pacific. Cherished and loving dad of Annika and Louisa Smith. Dear brother of Wayne (Carol) Smith of Nova Scotia, Wendy (Derek) Rideout of Sarnia and Dugal (Marlene) Smith of Croton. Sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. The Smith family will receive friends and family for visitation at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 1 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kathleen MacKay officiating. Please bring a memory to share for the Celebration of Kevin's Life. Interment in Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville.
