Jackson: Allan James, a lifelong resident of R.R. #3 Tupperville, passed away suddenly with his family by his side at the C.K.H.A Sydenham Campus, Wallaceburg on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Joan (Van Dijk) Jackson for 38 years. Cherished father of Erin & Rob deNijs and Karla Jackson of Tupperville. Loved Opa J to Lucas, Emma and Peyton deNijs. Devoted son-in-law to Suzanne Van Dijk of Ridgetown. Predeceased by his parents John (2003) and Doris (2007) Jackson, father-in-law Joe Van Dijk (2016), brother Wayne Jackson (2006), sister-in-law Deb Van Dijk (2008) and son-in-law Greg Butler (2002). Brother and brother- in-law to Dianne Jackson of Dresden, Dennis and Sharon Jackson of Tupperville, Brian and Deb Jackson of Tupperville, Carol and Darryl Holmes of Wabash, Marinus and Carolyn Van Dijk of Picton, Janice Van Dijk of Kingston, Mary and Steve Hajpel of Ilderton, and Adrian Van Dijk and fiance Sylvia Faas of Blenheim. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and many friends. He had a zest for life, and a love for the beach especially in St. Maartens. His family was his pride and joy and he was an instant friend to anyone he met. Allan had a knack for history and was a wealth of knowledge, sometimes useless. He was a Graduate of The Advanced Ag Leadership Program Class 5 (1995) and Past Chairman of the Seed Corn Grower Board and Director for many years. The Jackson family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home, 679 North St. Dresden on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4 p.m. -9 p.m. A celebration of Allan's life will be held at the Badder Funeral Home on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1 p.m. A Private family burial will follow at Blackburn Cemetery, Camden Township. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. Online donations and condolences may be left at www.badderfuneralhome.com.
