Obituary of William J.H. Highgate

William J.H. Highgate went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the age of 94. He was the son of the late George and Arnettie (Richardson) Highgate. Beloved husband of the late Leonie (Gould) Highgate. He is predeceased by his brothers George, Garnet and Archie Highgate and sisters Irene Travis, Alma Johnson and Myrtle Davis. He is survived by his brother John D. Highgate (Jean) and two sisters-in-law Burene Highgate and Wilbur (Pinky) Highgate. Loving father of 13 children: Lana, Loretta, Rosemary, Joyce (Eric), Sheila, Sharlene (Tyrone), Jacqueline (predeceased), Joanne, James (Jan), Melissa (Ricky), Karen (Richard), George (Lisa) and Georgina. He is the grandfather to 35 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 13 great great-grandchildren and spouses. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held at Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
