She is survived by her son Ludwig Michael Zymelka and daughters Helen Watson, Mary Forrest, Elizabeth Scott (Bruce) and Theresa Hachey all of London, Gladys Wignall (Doug) of Waterloo.Babica will be missed by her grandchildren Greg (Suzette), Matthew, and Heather Scott; Deborah (Maykal) and Samantha (Jordan) Forrest; Jill Lobodici (Steve), Riley, and Kacy Wignall, and by her great-grandchildren Olivia and Brandon, Ava and Kalliope. Against tremendous odds, Klara survived WWII in Russia, Poland, and Germany and then immigrated to Canada with her husband and two children 1949. In Ridgetown, she participated enthusiastically in many activities enjoying people and helping whenever and wherever she could. From 1969 she was a dedicated active member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Branch 243 of the Royal Canadian Legion. She was also devoted to St. Michael's Church and the Catholic Women's League. She received recognition from each for her lifetime of service and contribution. For many fund raising events she participated, with many ladies in her kitchen, in marathon productions of perogi and cabbage rolls. One of her greatest joys was baking and sharing her baked goods with her family and many friends in the community. Rarely, could you leave her home without something in hand. Her enthusiasm for fun was contagious. She loved being with people and was very generous in numerous ways with all who crossed her path. Although she lived in London for the past 6 years, Ridgetown remained her home in her heart. Klara requested there be no visitation and immediate cremation. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Ridgetown on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in St. Michael's Cemetery.
