Obituary of Marlou Joanne Meredith
Meredith, Marlou (Bray) : A resident of Bothwell, Marlou passed away peacefully at the Maple City Residence, Chatham after a valiant fight of 8 years against cancer on Friday, April 15, 2016, at the age of 72. Born in Windsor, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Maxwell) Bray. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Meredith (March 17, 2016). As in life they did everything together, Marlou is now following Doug to Heaven. Devoted mother of Kevin Meredith of Bothwell, Mary Sue Meredith of Waterloo and Brad Meredith and his wife Kelly of Chatham. Proud grandma of Scot, Alexis, Teya and Teghan Meredith. Dear sister to Judy (Dennis Jack), Gary Bray (Sue), and Dale Bray (Kathy). Sadly missed by close cousins John S. Taylor and Richard Taylor (Arlene). Sister-in-law of Ron Meredith (Lorraine), Bill Meredith (Joyce), Bob Meredith (Judy), Edgar Meredith, and Gordon Meredith (Linda) and sister-in-law Karen Meredith. Fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by Aunt Jennie Taylor (Maxwell) and Uncle Stuart Taylor, sister Barbara (Bray) Wilson. After a teaching career, Marlou and her husband Doug owned and operated Meredith's Family Wear for 36 years in Bothwell. Marlou was very supportive of Doug's community involvement. She was a past director of the Bothwell Figure Skating Club, and a past executive member of the Bothwell Seniors Centre. The Meredith Family will receive friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 1:30pm. Cremation has taken place with Interment of cremains in Arnold Cemetery, Louisville.
