Obituary of Hector Gilbert Murray

Murray: Hector Gilbert a resident of Newbury, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at his home at the age of 79. Beloved husband of 43 years to Marjorie (Roberts) Murray. Father of Allan Murray (Janice Mills). Grandfather of Hunter, Dawson and Cole Murray. Step-grandfather of Natasha Gould-Mills and Jeff Mills. Brother-in-law of George Roberts (Mary), Carl Roberts (Betty) and Carolyn MacDonald. Uncle of Laura Mazerolle (Shawn), Rob Murray (Lisa), Dennis Murray (Terry), Alice James (Randy), Diane Murray (Archie), Len Murray (Sandy), Linda VonWistinghausen (Chris), Darren Roberts (Susan), David Roberts (Monique), Tracey Hennessey (George), Jo Ann Roberts (Michael) and several great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by his mother Alice Hillman (1908-2001), father Hector Murray (1892-1945), step-father John Hillman (1984-1971), brother Basil Murray (1938-2009) and brother Lawrence Murray (1941-2014). Hector had worked for Canada Post for 33 years and volunteered for the VON, Strathroy. The Murray family will receive friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. with interment in Oakland Cemetery, Glencoe on Monday, October 5, 2015. Donations may be made by cheque to Four Counties Health Services, Newbury or VON, Strathroy.
