Obituary of Mary Claudia Wilcox
Wilcox: Mary Claudia a resident of Chatham and formerly of R.R. #2 Kent Bridge passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2015 at St. Andrew's Residence, Chatham surrounded by her family at the age of 90. Born in Harwich Township, daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (LaFleure) Zink. Predeceased by husband William Albert "Bill" Wilcox (2005). Much loved mother of Nancy & Jim Faflak, Mary Beth & Bryon McFadden, Kathleen & Keith Osborne, Margaret & Mark Watson and Jane Wilcox & Ross McPhee. Predeceased by son David (1950). Cherished grandmother of Sarah Orrange (Pat), Emily Faflak (Drew McDonald), Christa Lozon (Chris Kuhn), Bryce McFadden (Michelle), Eric Osborne (Amanda), Ian Osborne (Vandara), Dale Osborne, Andrew Watson (Misato), Carlyle Doherty (Jen), Kevin Wilcox, Heather McPhee (Mathew Poole) and Jessie McPhee (Jeff Fogarty). Predeceased by granddaughter Paula Faflak (1997). Proud great grandmother of Kennan, Kaliegh and Mason Orrange, Declan and Saragh Fogarty, Alexis and Luke McDonald, Ruby Lozon, Riley and Jack Kuhn and Mia Watson. Dear sister of Donald Zink (the late Monica Zink), Mickey & Charlie Keech, Letty & Jim Robertson, Larry & Annette Zink and Phil Zink. Loved by several nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends. Claudia retired from Union Gas (1989). She was past president of Kent Centre Women's Institute, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed ceramics, krafts, knitting and sewing. The Wilcox family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Joseph's Church, Chatham on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Chatham. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to Make a Wish Foundation (In Memory of Paula Faflak) or Palliative Care Consultation Team (Make cheques payable to PCCT).
