Obituary of Lorne Mitton

Mitton: Lorne a resident of RR #5 Thamesville passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 89. Born in Thamesville, son of the late Leslie and Vergie (Graves) Mitton. Beloved husband of Marjorie (Buschemeyer) Mitton. Loving dad of Fred Mitton, Doug Mitton and Mary & Edward Jakub. Cherished grandpa of Tasha and Nick Jakub. Dear brother of Lloyd & Aileen Mitton. Dear brother-in-law of Jean Elliott. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Glenn & Ursula Mitton, Ina Mitton, Norman Elliott, Robert and Karen Buschemeyer. Lorne grew up in Thamesville then spent the rest of his life on the family farm. He enjoyed watching his family and crops grow. He was a life long active member of Thamesville United Church. He enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm for Studebaker cars and Massey Harris farm equipment at the Thamesville Threshing Festival and other local shows and events. The Mitton family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment in Mayhew-Mt.
