Wright: Ronald, a resident of Thamesville, passed away suddenly at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Thursday, January 15, 2015 in his 70th year. Born in Chatham, son of the late Gerald and Katherine (Collins) Wright. Best friend and husband of Cheryl (Lapp) Wright. Loving father of Tim Wright (Shelly), Tracy Swackhammer, Trish Zehr (Jason) and Tara Prangley (Derek). Loving Pa of Tyler, Cassidy, Zander, Nash, and Brodie Bruin. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Betty Cassetta (Eddie), Bob Wright (Sally), Bonnie Smith (Charlie), John Lapp (Gail), Will Lapp (Lynn). Favourite uncle to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his grand-daughter Madison; sister Helen Sharratt (Jack), in-laws Jack and Mae Lapp. Ron will always be remembered as the biggest Bruins fan around, but more importantly the most loving, caring, man that would do anything for his family. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell, and as he cheers for his grandchildren from heaven , he'll be saying "two hands on your stick"! The Wright family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Sunday, from 2:00pm- 4:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm ( As a tribute to Ron, we encourage friends and family to wear black and gold, Go Bruins). The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 1:30PM . Interment in Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville. If desired, donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Online condolences may be left at www.badderfuneralhome.com "GO BRUINS"

To Cheryl and all the family,
My sincerely condolences from Surrey, B.C.
I grew up with "Fred" and spent many an hour with him in the "55 Chevy and on the rink, whether at "the Pit" on Blackie Fraser's Ice Palace or playing with the Mets.
Ronnie was as down to earth as it gets and the world needs more Ronnies!
I will never forgive his Bruins for beating my Canucks in game 7 for the CUP.
Worse yet, I was there to suffer through it!
I haven't seen much of Ron in the last 45 years but did catch up to him last year and I must say, it was just like old times!
Ron has always had a special spot in my heart and always will.

Our condolences to you and your families. We always enjoyed our times with you and Ron and will surely miss the ball games and sitting in your back yard with a cold one.
We planned on coming to the funeral home today but both of us have bad colds and didn't think people would appreciate us hacking and coughing on them but our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Cheryl and kids,
I am so sorry that I can't join your tomorrow and offer my condolences in person, but some non-optional appointments make that impossible. I hope you all understand what a special guy you had the priviledge of spending your lives with, Ronnie (Fred) was a wonderful fellow and I can honestly say that there was not a minute of the time I have spent over the years with Ron or Annie that was not totally enjoyable. Ronnie will live forever in the hearts of those who knew him and had the pleasure of experiencing his quick wit and easy laugh.
He was one great guy! Sincere condolences and strength to get through this difficult time.
Our thoughts are with you all.

Frank with work at RJ Simpsons/Metaldyne and you are so right that he always had a story to tell and at work with these guys it was the same way. Myself and the kids met and knew Ron from the arena. So sorry to read of Ron's death on Fri morning on Facebook. What a shock. He was such a family man and a real fun guy and always made you feel so welcome. I watched the video through before writing this and what a beautiful tribute to him and your family and something that you will really treasure for the rest of your lives. May you find time to remember all the fun times instead of this sad time, and be able to laugh in all of your good memories as that would be what he would want for all of you. RIP Ron.

Cheryl and all your family, please accept my thoughts and prayers. This guy will be missed, my mom thought the world of him with his quick wit and personality. I remember playing hockey in the Sunday night league, when anyone scored he would skate by and say "it's the little black thing Sherm". That happened quite a bit. Fred has touch a lot of people? Please accept my condolences, I'm sorry im away at this time. Thinking of you and your family.
