Obituary of Pál (Paul) Huszka Jr.
At the age of 81, Paul Huszka Jr of Bothwell retired from farming by passing away on June 13, 2024. He was born in Hungary, leaving the 1956 Soviet conflict with his family as refugees. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Florence (Lievens) with whom he farmed for many years. Together they raised their family Emery Huszka (Julie), Paula Huszka and Piri Biernacki (Shane). He is survived by grandchildren Ekaterina Huszka (Ben), Nickolas Huszka (Kate), Ariel Akerfeldt (Tyler), Brooklyn Biernacki (Austin), Chelsea Biernacki, Dakotah Biernacki and great grandchildren Mason and one to be named soon. Also survived by God Daughter Andrea Badger, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jim & Margaret Carter, Henry Stepniak, Ron & Georgina Swackhammer, Roger & Maria Lycke, Roseanne Lernout, many nieces and nephews. Paul is predeceased by his parents Paul & Piroska Huszka, brother Imre, an infant sister Piroska, brothers-in-law Robert Jubenville, George Lernout and sisters-in-law Juliana Jubenville, Irene Stepniak. Visitation will be held at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 2-5 pm and 6:30-8:30 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 11 am at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 9 Alice Street, Thamesville. Interment to take place at St. Ignatius Cemetery, Bothwell followed by fellowship at the Royal Canadian Legion, Bothwell Br. 252. Thank you to all our friends and neighbours for their many kindnesses and to the medical/emergency professionals who delivered superior care in Paul's time of need. Four Counties Health Services continues to prove their value, along with Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital and LHSC-University Hospital, London.
