Obituary of Vera Marilyn Harvey

Vera Marilyn Harvey passed away peacefully Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Fairfield Park, Wallaceburg surrounded by her family. She was born in Florence, Ontario, September 20, 1937 to Cleo and Eva (Tew) Bresett. She grew up in Dresden. Vera graduated from the Public General Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. An accomplishment she was very proud of.

She married Doug Harvey in 1958 and moved to Tupperville to raise their family. When Doug retired from farming, they sold the farm and moved to Dresden. After Doug passed away in 2019, she moved to Eden Villa in Chatham and later to Fairfield Park due to her declining health.

She is survived by her daughters Cheryl (Dennis Brown) of Dresden, Cindy (Andy Demakos) of Mississauga, Cathy (Firmin Geneau) of Blue Bell, New Brunswick and Carolyn of Kingsville. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and her brother-in-law Larry Harvey (Esther) of Soldotna, Alaska. Predeceased by an infant sister Doris in 1924.

Family and friends will be received at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St, Dresden on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM. Private Family Interment in Dresden Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Fairfield Park, Wallaceburg.
