After he retired from Navistar, Len worked together with his wife at their business "Mickey D's Sportswear" in Dresden. He dedicated his life to his family, his faith and to service. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus for over 40 years and fulfilled roles of Deputy Grand Knight, Grand Knight and District Warden. He loved working beside his fellow knights and their wives to serve their community but in particular he loved helping those in need. He was active in his church as a server, with fundraisers and events. Mostly, he loved to be with his family and was an excellent role model as both a husband and a father. He adored being a Pepe and his fun loving ways and silly humour were always a hit with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His laughter will be missed by everyone who knew him.
