Obituary of Nancy Jean Hooper
Nancy Jean Hooper (Paradis), a resident of Dresden, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Windsor Regional Hospital , MET at the age of 74. Born in Windsor, the daughter of the late Oswald and Betty (Paradis) Round. Beloved wife of 44 years to the late Lawrence Herbert Hooper. Missed dearly by her children Mike Walker (Heather), Bonnie Walker (Joel), Jim Walker (Debbie), Lisa Churchmack (Brian) and step-son Ron Hooper. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Mitchell, who was her pride and joy. Dear sister and sister-in-law to Evelyn Muxlow (Jim), Vera Taylor (late Rudy), Joanne Kominski (Mike), Gordon Round, Barbara Timmermans, April Sharpe (Chris), Andy Round, Connie Round, David Round (Kerry), Dennis Hooper, the late Bill Paradis (Norma), Joe Round (Stella), Charlotte Hooper (Pete), Allan Hooper (Linda), Ken Hooper. Nancy worked at Pincrest Foods, North American Plastics where she was a foreperson and returned to school to obtain her Dietary Certificate. She retired from Park Street Place where she was head cook and kitchen manager. In her retirement she enjoyed camping, crafting, playing cards, visiting with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by many! Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Nancy's Life will be held at Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Centre Hall 1212 North St., Dresden on October 22, 2023 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
