Childs: Mary (Neilson) a resident of Dresden, passed away peacefully and with grace at Park St. Place, Dresden on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 one month shy of her 101st birthday. Born in Dawn Twp., daughter of the late William and Hannah (Hamilton) Neilson. Mary was a fan of all sports, and loved the Toronto Blue Jays. She had worked for over 20 years in the cafeteria at the Dresden High School and after retirement enjoyed her daily coffee with her friends at Burns. Beloved wife of the late Harold Childs (2005). Loving mother of Linda Mathewson (Ken), Glen Childs (late Shirley,) Bonnie Thompson (John), Al Childs (Tracey), and the late Paul Childs. Amazing grandma to Tina Childs, Tim Childs (Jessica), Dawn Balan (Greg), Denise Luksys (Chris), Daryl Badder (Megan), Aaron Childs (Amanda), Breanne Dawson (Adam), Robert Mathewson (Angela), Chris Mathewson (Sandra), and great grandma to Oliver, Avery, Hannah, Abby, Josh, Ryan, Ben, Molly, Jacob, Bryce, Ryley, Lucas, Cameron, Brooklyn. Dear sister of Alice Brown (late Bill), Russell Neilson (late Anna, late Vera). Predeceased by sisters Phyllis Cummings (Irvine) and Jean Robinson (Morgan). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The Childs family will receive friends and family for visitation at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Tuesday October 10, 2023 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
