Obituary of Jill Meredith
Meredith: Jill, (Buller) It is with great sadness we announce the death of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Tilbury Manor on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the age of 83. Predeceased by her parents Redvers and Nellie (Fear) Buller and her brother Doug Buller. Wife to Glen Meredith for almost 61 years. Deeply missed by her children Shelly, Mark, Leslie (Mark H.) and grandchildren Alex (Brandon), Casey (Jesse), Brianna (Mike), Ryan, and Grace (Jayden). Also survived by brothers-in-law Evan (Jane) and Lee (Sylvia) and sister-in-law Mae, as well as many other relatives close to her heart. Jill graduated in 1961 from Victoria Hospital as a nurse, then one year later from the Western University in Public Health, and 10 years later went to the University of Windsor where she achieved her BScN, making the Dean's Honor List. She taught Tai Chi and was an accomplished curler and shuffleboard player. She was a dedicated volunteer and an elder at St. John's Botany United Church and long- time member of the United Church Women (UCW) and led many fundraisers. She was also a long serving member of the Women's Institute raising awareness of women's issues of the time. Cremation has taken place, A Celebration of Jill's Life will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM with brief remembrances at 2-2:30 PM in the St. John's Botany Church (Basement) 12377 Botany Line, Kent Bridge, ON. If desired donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Chatham-Kent ( c/o 36 Memory Ln, Chatham, ON N7L 5M8 ) or St. John's Botany United Church (c/o 12377 Botany Line, Kent Bridge, ON N0P 1V0) would be appreciated.
