Obituary of William Ernest Alderton

William "Bill" Ernest Alderton, a resident of Chatham and formerly of Newbury, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 77. Born in Newbury, the son of the late Charles and Violet Alderton.Beloved husband of the late Esther Kathleen (Humphrey) Alderton (2002).  Loving  Dad of Cindy Alderton-Schlarbaum, Tammy Alderton/Schooley and Laurie Klapko (Chad). Cherished Papa and Big Papa to Lisa Marie Ayres, Ashley Ayres, Brittany Nead (Andy) and Kaitlyn Lucas (John). Proud Great Papa and Great Big Papa to Tapanga Dzieciol, Terry William Johnston, Christopher Maclean, Carter Ayres, Harley Ayres, Maleigha Nead, Briella Lucas and Rowan Nead. Dear Brother of Charles Alderton, Donna Sipoz, Robert "Bob" Alderton, Shirley Yacks, Verna Blair (Ron), Gary Alderton, the late Eddie Alderton and the late Gerald Alderton. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.  The Alderton family will receive family and friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Badder & Robinson Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville.
