Obituary of Marian Louise Herr

It is with great sadness to announce the peaceful passing of Marian Louise Herr (nee Huff) at Babcock Community Care Centre in Wardsville, Ontario on Monday, February 13,2023 in her 94th year.  Born in Chatham, Ontario,daughter of the late Lloyd and Emily (Dewar) Huff.  Beloved wife of the late Benson Campbell Herr.  Marian and her husband were long-time residents of Bothwell, Ontario. Beloved mother to Lisa, Benson (Sandra Finn) and Albert (Sarah).  Loving grandmother to Xavier, Xander, Krystal and Kandice.  Great grandmother of 5.  Will be missed by her sisters Alice Hewson and Margaret Perry. Brothers-in-law Gordon Perry and Ralph Gilbert.   Predeceased by her sisters Barb Gilbert, Betty Murray and Dorothy Grant, brothers-in-law Mike Hewson, Don Murray and Allen Grant.  Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Many referred to Marian as "MA" or "NANNY".  A special thank-you to all the staff and care takers at Babcock Community Care Center in Wardsville and all her caregivers throughout the last 9 years for all your love, compassion and care. The Herr family will receive family and friends at the Bothwell United Church 178 Elm St. W., Bothwell on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 1:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 PM with Rev. Annalee Kerr officiating. Interment in McLean Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to Bothwell United Church, Alzheimer Society or Babcock Community Care Centre.
