Obituary of Catherine Tyhurst
With sadness we say goodbye to Catherine (Konigers) Tyhurst at the age of 101 of Park Street Place Dresden, on Tuesday January 18th 2022. Her long life was built around farming in Harwich and Camden Townships. Kay was the daughter of the late Peter and Alberta Konigers. Beloved wife of the late Jack Tyhurst (2014). Survived by nieces Sandra Forget (Rick Corin) and Susan Minshull (Dave Holland) and nephews Michael Konigers, Rick (Sharon) Tyhurst, Bob (Cindi) Tyhurst and Tom (Lynn) Tyhurst. Predeceased by her beloved son Bobby (2020), her brother Albert and sister-in-law Betty, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dick and Barbara Tyhurst. Aunt Kay will also be missed by several great and great great nephews and nieces and a special friend Brenda Strevel. The family would like to acknowledge the special care the staff and volunteers at Park Street Place provided for Aunt Kay and the outstanding compassion at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance most recently. We are forever grateful for all they have done for her. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St., Dresden. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has mandated that everyone attending must wear a mask. A private service will be held with interment in Dresden Cemetery.
