Aunt Barb was very special to me. I used to visit their home many summers for weeks at a time from Windsor. They were always filled with lots of fun with my dear cousins. Aunt Barb treated me so kindly just like I was one of her kids. I remember she never got mad, always laughing and very cheerful even when she worked so hard raising her family. I have nothing but love and admiration for her. I regret I did not have a chance to see her before moving out to B.C. She raised wonderful women. Salute to Aunt Barbie.

Barb was six years older than me, even though I was her Aunt. She always teased me, calling me Aunt Sally with a mischievous grin on her face. I guess that is what I will always remember about her: her mischievousness, her love of fun, her laughter when she was young; she was a carefree spirit. And she gave her life to Jesus, which is why I know I will see her again. It was not that she could not be serious; that she definitely could be when she knew a friend or loved one was suffering. That is why I know she is still involved with her loved ones, albeit no longer here with us on earth in the flesh. Her spirit lives on in Christ. She liked a good gab-fest around a kitchen table, when all the gals in the family got their heads together; she still does, of that you can all be sure! So I am not saying goodbye to Barb, just––until we meet again!
