Obituary of Midge Ripley
Marjorie Pearl Ripley (nee Chivers)
Marjorie 'Midge' Ripley peacefully passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Tuesday October 26, 2021, at the age of 80.
She was the daughter of the late Garfield and Marjorie (née Foster) Chivers.
Loving wife to Lynnwood Ripley and the late Murray McCallum (2003).
Mother to Brenda Clark, Mike (Josie) Lane, late Kim Lane (1969), and step mother to Brenda Strevel, Dan (Laurie) McCallum, Bob (April) McCallum, Nolan Ripley, Terry Ripley, Robert John Ripley, and Tina Marie Ripley.
Grandmother to Tonya, Jason, Michael, Kim, Alicia, Jesse, William, Brad, Cody, Stephan and a few great grandchildren.
Sister to Rick (Dee) Chivers, and predeceased by siblings, Bernice, Jack, Sternie, Norman, Wesley, and Ernest.
Sister-in-law to Judy Chivers, Janice (Gary) Pepper, Marilyn (late Bob) Fieldus, Barb (late Jack) Ripley.
Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Midge will be remembered for her 'strong-willed' personality who loved her family and enjoyed sewing. She was hardworking and spent years working as a retail clerk, a sales representative for Tropicana/Tetley Tea, and she even owned her own variety store in Dresden for 10 years.
Visitation will take place at Evangel Community Church, 76 Sandys St. in Chatham on Friday October 29, 2021 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with a service to follow. Those wishing to attend the visitation and funeral service are asked to sign up using the following link: https://signup.com/go/YUtKcBC . The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has mandated that everyone attending must wear a mask and social distance.
Cremation will take place following the service and a private family interment will occur at Resurrection Cemetery in Sarnia at a later date.
Memorial Donations made in memory of Midge can be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, Dresden.
