Obituary of David Wayne Frederick Downie

Downie: David Wayne Frederick a resident of Bothwell, passed away suddenly at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the age of 64. Born in St.Thomas, son of the late Bill and Marie (Quinton) Downie. Dave was a member of the Bothwell Optimist Club for over 40 years, and was actively involved with the Lambton-Kent Mini Pullers for many years. Beloved husband of Lisa (Lather) Downie. Loving father of Danielle Simpson (Brad) of Rodney and Diane Alexander (Jeremy) of Bothwell. Loving grandpa of Brady, Thomas, Chase and Luke. Dear brother of Ron Downie (Fran), Brian Downie (Jill), and Paul Downie. Sadly missed by his mother-in-law Dodie Lather. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Cremation has taken place, a Celebration of Dave's Life will be held at the Bothwell Legion on October 23, 2021 at 1 p.m. Interment of Cremains will be in Bothwell Cemetery.
