Obituary of Gerald Mallette

Mallette, Gerald a resident of Chatham and formerly of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the age of 91. Born in Big Point, Ontario, son of the late Esdras and Maria (Lucier) Mallette. Beloved husband of the late Alice (Authier) Mallette (2011). Loving father to Ron Mallette & Barb (Badder), Mike Mallette (Jeff Shillington), Carol Stenhouse (Wayne), Linda McFarlane (Dale Bowers), and Donna Mallette. Cherished grandfather to Alana, Jeff, Katie, Kara, Renee, Dan, Jodi, Kim, Darren, Jordan, Sarah, Jesse, Nicole, Danielle, great-grandfather to many, and also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dear brother to the late Mary Jane Herbert, late Victor Mallette, Benedict Mallette, late Margaret Grant, and Rene Moisan. Special friend to Bernice Jackson. Predeceased by son Jimmy (1972) and grandson Aaron. Gerald enjoyed collecting and rebuilding toy cars. At Jerry's request, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will take place at St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the John C. Badder Funeral Home, Thamesville.
