Obituary of Daniel Gerald Ivan

Ivan, Daniel a resident of Florence, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the age of 64. Born in Chatham, dear son of Jerry and Laurette (DeVogelaere) Ivan. Beloved husband to Karen Ivan (Huston). Cherished and loving father to Amanda and Jason Larouche, Kristyn and Shane Jackson, Colette and Adam Walters. Forever missed by his grandchildren Nolan, Landon, and Madison Larouche, Darla, Cohen, Ellis, and Nora Jackson, Ivan, Ruby, and Lavis Walters. Dear brother to Brenda and Ron Vandehogen, brother-in-law to Connie Dodman (late Bob), Vaughn Huston, and son-in-law of the late Harry and Grace Huston.

Dan began his career with the International Harvester in Chatham, and ventured to Nova Chemicals in Corunna the last 30 years retiring in 2019. In his earlier years he attended to livestock and farmed side by side with his parents and father-in-law.

He enjoyed hockey with the Bothwell league, summer golfing with the guys, precious days with his kids and grandkids dropping off unexpected treats, and always looked forward to winter vacations with the love of his life.

 A Private Family Service will take place with Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the John C. Badder Funeral Home, Thamesville.
