Obituary of Gloria Jean Siddall
Siddall: Jean (Hetherington) a resident of Thamesville, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the age of 89. Born on the family farm at R.R.#3 Thamesville, daughter of the late Herbert and Eva (Boyle) Hetherington. Jean was a longtime member of St. James Presbyterian Church, Thamesville and later Glencoe Presbyterian Church. She was treasurer at St. James for many years. From a musical family, Jean loved to sing. She was the alto voice of the St. James Trio with Marg Kelley, and Muriel Manley, and sang in the church choir for over 80 years. Jean worked at the Bank of Montreal in Thamesville for many years, she was an avid sports fan, and followed the Blue Jays and Maple Leafs faithfully. Jean loved following her children's and grandchildren's accomplishments and could often be found at concerts, soccer, ball or hockey games. She was an amazing cook, and made many pies and baked goods over the years. She sold many elderberry pies at the Thamesville Yard Sales. Her faith was strong and she had a great love for her family and community that will be missed by many. Beloved wife of Bob Siddall. Loving mother of Heather Morton (Chris), Mari Joy Perry (Joe), Eric Siddall (Karen). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Bethany, Fraser (Julia), Allen and Lauren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Kent and Viv Hetherington, Norma Mauritsen, and Sir Len Reeves. Predeceased by a sister Norma Reeves, and brothers Neil and Jack Hetherington. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The Siddall family will receive relatives and friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Glencoe Presbyterian Church, 177 Main St., Glencoe. Private Family Interment will take place in Sherman Cemetery, Thamesville. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, those hoping to attend the visitation and or funeral service must schedule a time by registering online at https://signup.com/go/HRoZmdz. No one will be permitted at the visitation or funeral without a scheduled time. Please wait in your vehicle until your registered time slot.
