Dorothy and Rodger were a huge part of our 19 years at Lakewood. My children and I recall her quick wit and of course her adorable scotties. Her kind words shared at the passing of husband, David, touched all of us greatly. Go rest high on that mountain, Dorothy.

Our thoughts and prayers our with you and we are very sorry to hear of Dorothy’s passing. We met Dorothy several years ago at The Lakewood campground and in fact we were two trailers over from her. We would often see Dorothy riding in her Golf cart with her dog or on her deck enjoying the day. Again, our deepest sympathy to the family.

I met Dorothy through Eastern Star. She was such a beautiful and talented lady. She shared her book of poetry, andI read it often as she had such a way of expressing her feelings about the common things around us. When I realized she couldn't drink regular coffee at the Star lunches, I switched to decaf for all of us. I am certain some didn't get the oomph from the coffee they were expecting, but it was such a delight to see Dorothy able to have coffee with everyone else, and she always enjoyed the treats. Dorothy's life has been a gift to all who knew her. She will be missed, and we all have been blessed in knowing her.

So sorry to hear of Dorothea’s passing. Remembering how Dorothy would always say ‘Hello’ to my dogs as she drove by with her dogs barking in the back seat of her car...and her huge smile.

Walking passed her Airstream several times a day with my 2 boston terriers always made my day. Candid conversations were the norm as we discussed the world or some other topics. She was our Matriarch at Lakewood and led us to our meal every year in her homemade Hawaiian dress at the Luau. Holding her head high and a smirk on her face she graciously walked the bluff area to the food. She was full of fun and laughter that captured our hearts forever. Sorely missed but NEVER forgotten. I have one of her poem books she gave me and will keep forever.
She used to swim 30 plus laps every day when we had our olympic sized pool. We all admired her strength and expertise as she glided over the water with no effort. She has such a legacy at Lakewood and she loved being there and conversing with everyone.
You mentioned PARTY and she was there and knew how to have fun. Rest in Peace our lovely and feisty lady.
Love to the family.

Our deepest condolences in the passing of Dorothy. We loved seeing her smiling face so often . She was such a good sport at many of Lakewoods events. She was missed when she left the park.
