Obituary of Dorothy Eileen Maynard

Maynard; Dorothy Eileen (nee Mater) of Florence, passed away with family by her side on Friday, January 17, 2020 at the age of 71 at the London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus. She was born August 18, 1948 in Dawn Township, daughter of the late Orlo Mater and Laura (Wagner). Dorothy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Terry Maynard, son Vance Maynard (Shannon Janssen) of Florence, daughter Jody Mello (Rob) of New York City, N.Y, grandchildren Owen, Keagan, Makenna, Gryphon, Kaly, and Ana, brothers Harold Mater (Marg), Lorne Mater (Catherine), sisters Marie Charleton (Bruce), Nancy Hayter (Ross), in-laws Bill Maynard (Geraldine), Brad Maynard (Vanessa), Sherry Holcombe (Don), Diane Browning (Bob), and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy loved her grandchildren, doing jig saw puzzles, yoga, and travelling. 

The Maynard family will receive friends and relatives at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Monday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place in the chapel on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Shetland Cemetery.
