Sloan, William John a resident of R.R. #1 Bothwell passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011at Beattie Haven Retirement Community, Wardsville at the age of 90. He was born in Aldborough Township son of the late John and Sarah (Schleihauf) Sloan. Beloved husband of Jean A. Newport. Dear father of Sharon Lehnert (Michael) of Bothwell, Yvonne & Ray Brioux (Jesse and Tom) of Toronto, Sandra & Gerry Demaiter (Sarah, Jeremy, Luke and Zeb) of Thamesville, John & Sheila Sloan (Paula, Chris, Jill, Julie, Erin and Shanica) of London, Bill & Connie Sloan (Shane, Dana, Breanne and Megan) of Bothwell and Virginia Sloan of Bothwell. Survived by 14 great grandchildren. Loving brother of Gwen, Jean, George, Wesley and Yvonne. Predeceased by sister Wanita. The Sloan family will receive family and friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm Street, Bothwell on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held from the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Steve Filyer officiating. Cremation with interment in Bothwell Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to Haiti Missions or Beattie Haven Retirement Community.
