Obituary of John Charles Goodchild

After living with the debilitating affects of Rheumatoid Arthritis, John passed away on October 7, 2019. John was born to George and Stella (Hurren) Goodchild on October 22, 1947 in Orillia, Ontario. Survived by wife Norma (Turley), father to Aaron (Candice), and grandfather to Felix, Hezekiah, and Millicent.

Following his career as an x-ray technician, John was deeply involved in his community of Dresden. He was a Paul Harris Fellow and member of the Dresden Rotary Club. He contributed to the church services in the park through the Dresden Ministerial. John was passionate about golf, despite his incapacity to play, and volunteered with Golf Ontario. In years past he was leader with Scouts Canada.

Memorial Visitation will be held at the Dresden Community Church, 29043 Community Rd., Dresden on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Dresden Ministerial in support of the church services in the park ministry.
