Humphrey: Robert W. “Bob”, a resident of Ridgetown, passed away peacefully at the Village, Ridgetown on Monday, November 22, 2010 at the age of 88. Born in Zone Twp., son of the late Arthur and Bertha (Berry) Humphrey. Bob had worked at the Ridgetown Agricultural College for 23 years, retiring in 1985. Beloved husband of Bernice (Maynard) Humphrey for 67 years. Loving father of Verna Rich (Ron) of R.R.# 2 Bothwell, Alice McKim of R.R.# 2 Kent Bridge, Maxine Helmer (Bob) of Duart, John Humphrey (Joanne) of Thamesville, Robert Humphrey (Linda) of Bright. Bob will be sadly missed by 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Gladys Jones of Blenheim, Velma Wolfe of Ridgetown, Christina Christensen of London, Gordon Humphrey (Lillian) of St. Thomas. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Donna Nealey, Esther Humphrey, a brother Nick Humphrey, and son-in-law Garry McKim. The Humphrey family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at 2:00pm with Pat Milliken of Sprucedale United Church officiating. Interment Mayhew-Mt.Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
