Burdon, Reta K. (Carther) a resident of Dresden passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus, Wallaceburg at the age of 85. She was born in Thamesville daughter of the late Gordon and Sarah Jane (Filby) Carther. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Claridge (1952) and Ray Burdon (1964). Loving mother of Gordon Claridge & wife Diana, Lannie Burdon & special friend Cindy Preston, Kip Burdon & special friend Kelly Walker, Linda Stephens and Connie Kaminsky. Fondly remembered by 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Norma Tuckwell & husband Harry. Sadly missed by several nieces, nephews and special friends Alma Burgoon and Ann Wilson. Predeceased by brothers Garnet, Don, Theron and Dan and sisters Phylis Robinson, Laureane Westoby and Beulah Carther. The Burdon family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria Street, Thamesville on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Sherman Cemetery, Thamesville.
