Lung Association Heart and Stroke Foundation Wicks: Mary Ellen (Pyne), a resident of R.R.#2 Dresden, passed away at the C.K.H.A., Chatham on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the age of 83. Born in Petrolia, daughter of the late John and Nora (Fletcher) Pyne. Mary Ellen was a member of St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Florence, Order of the Eastern Star, Naomi Chapter #39 Brigden, and Fairport Rebekah Lodge # 322, Dresden. Beloved wife of the late Franklin Wicks (2006). Loving mother of Colleen Wicks, Helen Heersma (Tim), and Fred Wicks. Loving grandma of Megan Heersma. Dear sister-in-law of Janie Wicks, Marion Lloyd, and Helen Rankin. The Wicks family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Fairport Rebekah Lodge # 322, Dresden will hold a memorial service on Friday afternoon at 3:45pm and the Naomi Chapter # 39, Brigden, will hold an Eastern Star service on Friday evening at 6:45pm The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11:00am., with Rev. Stephen Demitroff officiating. Interment Dresden Cemetery. Donations may be made by cheque to the Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
