Johnston: Lois Kay a resident of R.R. 4 Dresden passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus, Wallaceburg at the age of 76. Born in Sarnia, only child of the late Hazel (Bobier) and Stanley Johnston of Bothwell. Predeceased by best friend “Buzz”. Survived by extended family Gerald McDonald, Karen Northcott, Lynn & Sue McDonald, Cathy & Jr. Kelly, Debrah Kearns, Dianne & George Copeland and families and the Johnston and Bobier cousins. Lois was Secretary to the Department of External Affairs. She was posted to London, England, Islamabad, Pakistan, Saigon, South Vietnam and Tel Aviv, Israel. Lois returned to Ottawa until retirement. She resided in Westport and Portland before moving to Dresden in 2005. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 1:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion – Bothwell, Br. 252. If desired, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Bothwell Br. 252. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, Bothwell.
