Balasin: Linda (Cousins), a resident of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Tuesday,November 8, 2011 at the age of 63. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Maxwell and Irene (Ellis) Cousins. Beloved wife and best friend of Ron Blake. Loving mother of Michael Balasin (Melanie) of Strathroy, Diane St. Piere (Gary) of Murphy, Texas. Sadly missed by step-children Tracy Keirsebilck (Gary) of Dresden, Lance Blake (LeeAnn) of Sarnia. Loving grandma of Derek, Turner, Kiersten, Drake, Markus, Jamie, Tyler, Jay, Michayla, and Adam. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Patricia Garrod (Lloyd) of Chatham, Doreen Murphy of Chatham and Phyllis Carther (Lanny) of Thamesville, Gerald Garrod and Herb Smith both of Chatham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant daughter Karen Irene Balasin, sisters Marion Garrod, Maxine Smith, Margaret Cousins, and a brother James Cousins. At Linda’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. If desired donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
