St. Vincent de Paul Children’s Camp Charity of Choice Charron: Alphonse, a resident of Bothwell, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the age of 78. Born in Chatham, son of the late Hector and Zita (Doyle) Charron. Alphonse was a seed corn dealer for many years and farmed all of his life, he retired in 2013. He was looking forward to a summer of camping with his family and friends. He was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Thamesville and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Alphonse devoted many hours over the years to the St. Vincent de Paul Children’s Camp. It was a labour of love. Beloved husband for 44 years to Doreen (nee Roberts) (Farrell) Charron. Loving father of Darryl Charron of Glencoe, Sharron Farrell (Harvey) of Strathroy, Greg Farrell (Debra) of Thamesville, Rob Farrell (Ann Marie) of Chatham and Mark Farrell (Sheryl) of Bothwell. There was a special place in his heart for each one of his “kids”. Proud Grandpa of Rebecca, Amanda (Dan), Christine, Nicole (Dustin), Josh, Ryan, Kylie, Haley and Taylor. Great-Grandpa to Leigha, Ethan, and Clayton and always remembered by Sabastian and Colton. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Pauline Fisher (Doug Depencier), Raymond and Colleen Charron, Bev Charron (Vi Sikesdi), Don and Gail Mathewson, Brian and Lynn Gardiner. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by the Farrell Family who accepted him as part of the family sharing many good times together. The Charron family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, Thamesville on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Thamesville on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 11am. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Thamesville. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to St. Vincent de Paul’s Childrens Camp or the Charity of One’s Choice. Online condolences and donations may be left at www.badderfuneralhome.com
