Merriam: James H., formerly of Euphemia Twp., passed away at the L.H.S.C. Victoria Campus, on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the age of 87. Born in Hillsburg, Ontario son of the late Melvin and Christie (Trehune) Merriam. Jim was predeceased by his first wife Viola (Joyce) Merriam (1985), and 3 sisters and a brother. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Astles) White-Merriam. Loving father of Norma Shaw of Chatham, Irene Ramey of Strathroy, Ruth Driessens (Jim) of Oakdale, Darlene Ameel (Dan) of Ridgetown, Fred of Glencoe, Melvin (Marilyn), Bill (Rita), Joe, Dan (Cheryl), Stanley Merriam all of Newbury, and Jack Merriam of B.C.. Loving grandpa of 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his step-children and many nieces and nephews. The Merriam family will receive friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 1:00pm with Rev. Kathy Hawley officiating. Interment Johnston Cemetery, Euphemia Twp..
