Obituary of William George "Bill" Meredith

Meredith: William George "Bill" a resident of Dresden passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury at the age 83. Born in Chatham, son of the late Wilfrid and Ruth (Vinson) Meredith. Bill was a lifetime farmer in Dawn Township and longtime homebuilder. He was an avid harness racing fan, a Dresden Minor Hockey Coach and member of Kent County Jr Farmers. Bill was always willing to help anyone, he was a very unselfish, caring and compassionate man. He will be missed for his smile, sense of humour and all the "Projects" he loved doing. Loving husband of Joyce (Harris) Meredith. Cherished father of Janice & Jeff McFadden and Jeff & Sarah Meredith. Dear brother of Ron Meredith (Lorraine), Robert Meredith (Judie), Edgar Meredith (Karen) and Gordon Meredith (Linda). Sadly missed by brother-in-law Stewart Harris (Gloria), and sister-in-law Joanne MacPhail (Malcolm). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Doug Meredith, sister-in-law Marlou Meredith, brother Murray Meredith and sister Mary Meredith. Family and friends will be received at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with reception lunch to follow and interment at Arnold Cemetery, Louisville. If desired, donations may be made at the funeral home to the FCHS Foundation - Newbury or CKHA Foundation (Wallaceburg Site).
