Obituary of Gordon Henry Ritchie

Gordon Henry Ritchie, a resident of Dresden, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 97. Born in Dunwich, ON, the son of Philip and Rose (Lozon) Richie. Beloved common law husband of 55 years to Dorothy Jinkerson. Loving father of Gordon Ritchie Jr. (Joyce), Dennis Ritchie (Linda), Robert Ritchie (Janet), Dorothy Whitmarsh, John Ritchie (Annette), Bonnie Beukelare (Tom) and Bernita Ritchie (Mike). Sadly missed by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by sons David, Francis (Peg), Doug and Donald Ritchie; daughters Donna Ritchie, Barbara Falconer (Larry), Deborah Ritchie and Rose Herbert (Gerald). Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at the Dresden Cemetery on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. with a memorial gathering to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 113, Dresden from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation.
