Obituary of Joseph "Joe" Vereecken
Vereecken: Joseph, formerly of R.R.#3 Bothwell, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at The Village on the Ridge, Ridgetown on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the age of 89. Born in Lamswaarde, The Netherlands, son of the late Rudolph and Elodie (Michielsen) Vereecken. Beloved husband of 63 years to Rose (Verstraete) Vereecken. Loving father of Cheryl-Ann Fisher (Bob) of Bothwell, Linda Vereecken (Lee Saker) of Clachan, Catherine Ellwood (Late Randy) of Chatham. Sadly missed by granddaughters Kelsey Ann Lemieux (Cody), Stephanie Fisher, Jocelyn Fisher (Adam Cedar) and great-granddaughter Elodie Rose Lemieux. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Joanne Bogaert (Late Ernest) of London, Pete Vereecken (Late Rosa) of Holland, Antoine Vereecken (Marie) of Chatham, Zulma Deprez (Roger) of Dresden, Dianne Feys (Late Gilbert) of Bothwell. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Nic Vereecken and brother Theo Vereecken (late Evelyn), brother-in-law Andy Verstraete (Late Lena) and sister-in-law Janette Korpan (Late Bill). The Vereecken family will receive friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Friday from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Prayers will be held at 1:45 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 26 George St., Ridgetown on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Interment St. Ignatius Cemetery, Bothwell.
