Obituary of Thomas Lloyd Price
It is with profound pride that we bid farewell to the patriarch of our family. Thomas Lloyd Price passed away peacefully holding the hands of his children, on Sunday, January 27th in his 82nd year. Eldest son of the late Kenneth (1971) and Hazel (Osborne) (1995) Price. Beloved husband of the late Sandra (Bilton) Price (Feb 6, 2014). Lovingly cared for by his children, Lori (Price) Couture (William Nielsen) and Tom Price Jr.
Much loved Grandfather of Christina Couture (Gareth Ritcey) of Toronto, Danielle Couture-Atogwe (Imokhai) of Windsor and Jaclyn Couture of London. Great Papa of Enike & Nolua Atogwe.
Brother of Jim (Marj) Price of Thamesville, Ruth Ann Mater (Bill Leeson) of Florence and Terry (Andrea) Price of Tilbury. Predeceased by a brother Archibald (1939). Brother-in-law of the late Ron (2017) & the late Colleen (2018) Bilton, Audrey Gryp (the late John Fauser-1986) of Windsor and Don & the late Brenda (2018) Ellis of Dresden. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins & friends.
Fondly remembered by his son-in-law John Couture and his good friend Barry Dickson.
The majority of his career was spent at Ontario Steel/Rockwell/Meritor/MSSC. For 6 years, he was part-owner and operator of a transport company in Chatham. He was athletic playing baseball, hockey and golf throughout his lifetime. He was a member of Willow Ridge Golf Course in Blenheim. He enjoyed golfing and especially teaming up with his family for charity scrambles. His favourite pastimes included cheering on the Leafs, Blue Jays, Yankees, Raptors and Steelers.
He was most proud of his family. He would call or FaceTime his grandchildren daily and always looked forward to spending time together.
‘Your death leaves us heartache no one can heal, but your love leaves us memories no one can steal.’
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and the ashes of Tom & Sandy will be interred together. We will hold a Celebration of Tom’s life at a later date.
We would like to thank the VON nurses for their dedication and care over the last two years. You were his daily angels. To the staff on 4W-medicine at CKHA-Even though our stay was brief, we were blessed by your sincere, professional love, care & support and you made our stay comfortable!
Donations to the Chatham Kent Hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the John C. Badder Funeral Home, Thamesville
