 Roesch: Henry John formerly of R.R. 2 Florence passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at CEE Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia at the age of 93. Born in Chatham, son of the late John and Mary (Legue) Roesch. Hank had lived in Shetland for 50 years and was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Oxford Rifles Medical Core, Prince Geroge. B.C.. He had owned and operated Howes Economy Foods Ltd. in Chatham and Thamesville. Hank will be spending his 94th birthday with his late wife of 69 years Gladys. He enjoyed every aspect of his life and lived it at full speed. Beloved husband of the late Gladys (Peters) Roesch (2011). Loving father of Barbara Beckett (Ron) of Shetland, John Roesch (Janice) of Ancaster and Linda Peters (Grant) of Florence. Sadly missed by grandchildren Annette Schliehauf (Chris), Don Beckett, KayLien Kruger (Wayne), Neela Peters, Beverly Girard (Trevor), John Roesch (Brandy) and 8 great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by brother-in-law Arthur McDermid of Owen Sound and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Helen McDermid and half brother Louis Cedar. The Roesch family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. with Bob Hodgson officiating. Interment in Shetland Cemetery.
