Obituary of Johanna Poppe

Poppe: The Lord took Johanna, to her eternal home. Johanna (Lorier) Poppe, a resident of Wallaceburg, and formerly of Dresden passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus at the age of 93. Born in Middelburg, Holland, daughter of the late Jan and Leuntje (Gideonse) Lorier. Beloved wife of the late Pieter (May 2018). Loving mother of Kees (Audrey), Lenore (Klaus Hintz), Mary and Evelyn. Cherished grandma of Monika, André, Preston (Anita) and Nolan (Rebecca). Predeceased by sisters Priena, Marie, Jaanna, and by great grandson Samuel P. Poppe (April 2018). A special thank you for the compassionate care from all the staff at the Sydenham Residence, Fairfield Park Long Term Care Home, and Wallaceburg Hospital (CKHA). The Poppe family will receive friends at Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Wednesday from 2-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the Dresden Christian Reformed Church on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment in Dresden Cemetery.
